Rakuten is paying 10% back on prepaid IHG stays (up from 3%) through Wednesday, Oct 7, as part of its Big Stack event. If your Chase card has the targeted IHG offer ($125 back on $500+ at US IHG hotels, paid by Oct 16, reportedly showing on Sapphire Reserve), stack the two and a $500 prepaid stay works out to roughly 35% back. Check your Chase Offers tab first, click through Rakuten in a clean browser, and skip Six Senses and Kimpton, which are mostly excluded. Don’t change the booking at the hotel, or the cash back can vanish.
