This Privacy Policy explains how Points Quest (“Points Quest,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit thepointsquest.com (the “Site”) or contact us. It may be updated as tools and laws change.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact email: your name or nickname, email address, and the content of your message when you write to us.
- Reader submissions: stories or wins you send us, and your permission choices for featuring them.
- Newsletter sign-ups: when a newsletter is offered, your email address and any optional answers you give.
Information collected automatically
- Server and hosting logs: our host may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested to operate and secure the Site.
- Analytics: if we enable analytics tools, they may collect device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location (sometimes using a truncated IP address).
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files and identifiers used for site operation, remembering preferences, measuring affiliate referrals, and (if enabled) analytics or advertising.
We never ask for credit card numbers, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or account passwords. Please don’t send them.

- Analytics providers: if and when analytics tools are enabled
- Newsletter provider: if and when a newsletter service is connected
- Affiliate networks and partners: when you click an affiliate link, the partner or network may set cookies to track the referral
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the Site.
4. Cookies and your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
- If we use Google Analytics, Google offers an opt-out browser add-on for that product.
5. Email choices
When a newsletter is active, every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to be removed from any list we maintain.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to card issuers, banks, airlines, hotels, and other sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Applying for a product happens on the provider’s site, under the provider’s terms.
7. Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, contact us.
