Southwest’s personal cards just got their biggest bonuses in a while, and the timing lines up with the Companion Pass deadline. Southwest’s card page now lists limited-time offers that end Dec. 2, 2026, and Chase’s offer details for each card confirm the numbers. The Plus card pays 80,000 points after $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months ($99 annual fee). The Premier card pays 85,000 after $2,000 ($149). The Priority card pays 90,000 after $3,000 ($229), up from 60,000. Southwest’s Rapid Rewards 2027 FAQ says cardmembers who apply and are approved on or before Dec. 2, 2026 and meet the bonus requirements can have those points count toward Companion Pass, even if they finish the spending in early 2027. You can’t get any of these if you currently have a personal Southwest card, or if you got a new-cardmember bonus on any Southwest card in the last 24 months. Southwest business cards don’t count against that rule. One catch: Chase’s own main Southwest page still showed the old 50,000-point Plus offer when we checked, so start from Southwest’s card page and use its Apply Now buttons. To play it, pick the card whose spending you’ll hit naturally, apply well before Dec. 2, and check your Companion Pass progress in your Rapid Rewards account.
