Southwest has a fare sale on, and it runs into the holidays, though some peak dates are blacked out. According to the terms on Southwest’s sale page, you get up to 40% off base fares on select flights booked on Southwest.com or SWABIZ through Oct. 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific, for travel Nov. 9, 2026 through March 3, 2027. Within the continental U.S., Nov. 28–29, Dec. 26–28, Jan. 2 and Jan. 3 are blacked out. Trips from the mainland to Hawaii, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico or international destinations are blacked out Nov. 19–25 and Dec. 17–Jan. 5, and trips back are blacked out Nov. 27–Dec. 1 and Dec. 17–Jan. 5. Those routes only qualify on certain days of the week, and interisland Hawaii isn’t included. The discount comes off the base fare before taxes and fees and shows up as a strikethrough price on eligible flights. It’s for new reservations only, and you lose it if you change the itinerary later. Getaways packages, group travel and special fares don’t qualify. To play it, search your dates with the low fare calendar, look for the strikethrough, and book before Thursday night.
