Hotel points are where a lot of flexible credit card balances quietly go to die at half a cent each. This page is the hotel-only companion to our Credit Card Transfer Partners Chart: which hotel programs Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi, and Bilt reach, at what ratio, and when a hotel transfer is actually worth it. Every ratio below was checked on official issuer pages on October 23, 2026. Capital One’s hotel partners and ratios were rechecked on capitalone.com on October 26, 2026.

Hotel transfer partners at a glance
Ratios read bank points : hotel points. So 1:1 means 1,000 bank points become 1,000 hotel points. 1:2 means 1,000 become 2,000. 4:3 means 1,000 become 750. A dot means that bank does not list the program.

When a hotel transfer is worth it
Hotel transfers shine when the cash rate is high and the award night is a flat (or near-flat) points price. They disappoint when the chain’s points are easy to earn and the cash rate is already low. Our October 2026 valuations left several hotel programs off the published table when we could not finish clean cash-versus-award samples; that is a reminder to run your own night through the calculator instead of assuming a blog’s cents-per-point number.
- Strong case: a peak-date Hyatt or a sold-out-weekend Marriott where the cash rate is several hundred dollars and the award is a known points price.
- Weak case: transferring to a chain at a poor ratio for a prepaid cash rate you could have booked with a portal at the bank’s floor value.
- Always compare the hotel award to (1) paying cash with a card that earns more of the same points and (2) booking the same night through the bank travel portal.
Program-by-program notes
World of Hyatt
Only Chase and Bilt list Hyatt in our five-bank chart. Chase publishes a 4:3 rate on its Sapphire Preferred page. Bilt is 1:1 through December 31, 2026, and Bilt’s Hyatt page says the rate becomes 4:3 on January 1, 2027. If you already have a 2027 Hyatt stay in mind, price it now and decide before late December. Do not transfer speculatively: Bilt and Chase both treat transfers as final. Our guide: Should You Transfer Bilt Points to Hyatt Before 2027?
Hilton Honors
Amex lists Hilton at 1:2 (1,000 Membership Rewards become 2,000 Hilton). Bilt lists Hilton at 1:1. Chase, Capital One, and Citi do not list Hilton in our chart. The Amex ratio looks generous until you divide by Hilton’s typical award prices; always run the calculator.
Marriott Bonvoy
Chase, Amex, and Bilt list Marriott at 1:1. Capital One and Citi do not list Marriott in our chart. Marriott award prices move with demand, so confirm the points rate for your dates before you transfer.
IHG One Rewards
Chase and Bilt list IHG at 1:1. The other three banks in our chart do not. IHG often runs point-sale promotions; compare a transfer against buying points only when the math is clear.
Wyndham Rewards
Wyndham is the most widely shared hotel partner after the big brands: Chase, Capital One, Citi, and Bilt all list it at 1:1. Amex does not list Wyndham in our chart. Useful when you want a go-anywhere hotel option from several banks.
Choice, Accor, I Prefer, Leaders Club
These fill gaps. Capital One publishes Choice and Wyndham at 1:1, I Prefer at 1:2, and Accor at 2:1. Amex lists Choice at 1:1 and Leaders Club at 4:1. Citi lists Choice at 1:1.5, Accor at 2:1, I Prefer at 1:2, and Leaders Club at 5:1 on the premium-card rates we recorded. Bilt lists Accor at 3:2 and I Prefer at 1:2. Match the chain to a stay you will actually book.

Before you transfer hotel points
- Find the award night first and confirm it is available for points on those dates.
- Compare cash vs points in the calculator, including resort fees and taxes you still pay on awards.
- Check for a transfer bonus. Bonuses come and go; Bilt Rent Day often has them (see Bilt Rent Day explained).
- Match names on the bank account and the hotel loyalty account.
- Transfer only what you need, rounded up to the next increment the bank requires (often 1,000).

Frequently asked questions
Which credit card points transfer to Hyatt?
Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Points. Chase lists Hyatt at 4:3 on its Sapphire Preferred page. Bilt is 1:1 through December 31, 2026, then 4:3 per Bilt’s Hyatt page. Amex, Capital One, and Citi do not list Hyatt in our chart.
Is Amex to Hilton at 1:2 a good deal?
It depends on the night. You get twice as many Hilton points, but Hilton awards often price higher in points than Hyatt or IHG for a similar cash rate. Run the cash price and points price through the calculator every time.
Should I transfer to hotels or airlines first?
Neither by default. Transfer to whichever award beats the bank’s portal rate and floor value for that trip. Many beginners over-transfer to hotels because the confirmation email feels concrete; the math should decide.
Do hotel points expire?
Often yes, after a period with no account activity. Rules differ by chain. Bank points usually remain while your card account is open. Check the hotel program before a balance sits idle.
Where is the airline version of this page?
Start with Best Airline Miles for Beginners, and use the airline tables on the main transfer chart for every ratio.
